my good friend Janelle has had bad bad luck with cars since I’ve moved here to SC. With 3 crazy rugrats aaand the need to lug art/jewelry/tent/table/etc to vend at art markets, it’s hard to imagine being without wheels. HOWEVER, Lady luck smiled upon her this week ..she sent me this picture…

Bacon and I painted one side on Thursday.
After a good washing, we outlined the wave and swirls w a big ass sharpie. I’m a big fan of her waves.
Next, we primed w 2 coats of white oil based paint. That is a must. It creates a bright white base. Like a fresh sheet of paper.
3, add color. At least two coats. The paint we used some exterior paints and regular acrylics. We felt that since we are sealing the whole mural in a clear varnish, using regular paints.
I dream a life of imagination for my kids. Paint splattered on their skin. A sketchbook always in hand. May they find their voice in creative arts. I was once a painfully shy child who had an overactive imagination. After many years of doodling silently, I’ve opened my sketchbook and mouth for all to hear. if you like it, your welcome.
