After a near hour of nonstop hooping, a tall concert goer exclaimed from the shadows. “you were amazing”! I never even knew anyone was really paying attention to me. I didn’t even have an LED during the strobing lights.
He fumbled into his bookbag and gave the 3 of us these wooden frogs (instruments). “i have to give you this”!
I named mine George. He likes to hoop.

I got a dance club of Summerville hooping at the Carolina Children’s Charity music event I recently vended. Their dancing talents translated! I want to do this. I would love to get more involved w spreading the hoop love. Also have these dancers teach me the basics. Spins. Walkovers.

I’ve been pecking away at hooping w two hoops. I’m no where near where I want to be; however, I thoroughly relish time spent practicing.
I’m right dominate, so I find myself doing most tricks w that side concentrating on maintaining momentum w left. It’s so damn hard.
With lots of practice I reckon I’ll get there one day. In the meantime, I sloppily spin happily.
Hooping is my meditation. The only place and time my mind is silent. Just me. My hoops. Tunes. Peace
I forgot to mention that I got wireless headphones from the hubs for valentines day. They are awesome and only cost $25 plus shipping.
I’ve been wanting a pair since I started hooping. As any hooper will tell you, wired headphones suck. They get knocked out your ears. The cord gets tangled in hoop. Also, my bra straps.
These headphones are a Kinivo BTH220 stereo Bluetooth streaming headphones. I had been salivating over more expensive models for almost 2 years. As an owner of a couple pairs of BOSE headphones, I can b a bit of a snob when it comes to building my bubble. In this bubble, I hoop, create, clean.
They r light weight. Comfortable enough. Good grip (neck hooping, no problem). Every hooper out there, get em! I do wish they could get louder; however, for $25, I’m not going to hate.
The battery life is decent and the range is pretty impressive. Most the time I stick my iPhone in pocket or line-in-sight.

Hooping in my house is one of my favorite things to do. Its tight yet doable. Technically, there’s no hooping in the house. I’ve broken dishes and there are scuff marks all over the ceiling and walls.
Can’t stop. Can’t get enough. I will hoop as a cook. I will hoop listen to podcasts. I will hoop whilst helping my offspring’s homework. I will hoop until I die.
It’s February in south Carolina. That means its tipping 75/80 during the day. The nights aren’t bad (if u had a coat). Perfect hooping weather day or night.
My mother sent me a new pair of black ballet slippers so me, eminem on Pandora radio and my arsenal of hula hoops get busy.
I block every one and thing out. If any one of my neighbors are watching, I wouldn’t know. I spin and sweat and pant. Great fun. Releases my aggression.

I don’t hoop because it’s a good workout. I don’t hoop to be better than anyone else. I don’t hoop to show off.
