Another happy customer. She took off a beaded choker of daisies that she claimed to have not taken off in over a year.
The choker had a fused glass focal of blue orange and vanilla. The stone glowed in a way that reminded me of a solar system. The braid was made from reclaimed leather from my father’s leather coat.
He wore it in 80s. I remember the smell. The sound it made as he moved. It sat in their hall closet for 20 years. Now it has a new life.
Wear in good health, excited client, that jacket was pimptacular.
PS- the choker doubles as a wrap bracelet! Uh huh
It finally happened. I got an iPad. My hubs gives the best Christmas gifts: cold hard cash.
Several years ago i got my kiln, Scotty. Last year was my LED hoop. This year, a glorious iPad who has been named The Mothership.
She is more awesome than I thought it would be. A perfect studio time tool (music/ notes/ tv/sketchbook/ google) and lightening fast. Best app ive gotten is the sketchbook app and finally found a place FB app works.
I have no grievances…..however, I find the weight to b a problem for my overworked wrists. It’s less than 2 lbs, but my poor wrists get fatigued if I don’t use a table or my lap.

My mom visited this weekend. I havent seen her in nearly a year. She’s a jet setter and works for Delta airlines.
It was a great visit. I didn’t feel the need to hide anything from her. I introduced her to many in my little world and I tools her to the Redux art auction at the Citadel. She told me she was proud of me.
She left, I hope, knowing that I’m fine. Kids r fine. Everything is kosher.
I heart my mom. Now I have to get my dad down here.
Mother in law’s studio is in ruins. It’s a beat up single wide that housed her ceramic kiln, quilting studio and many other arts and crafts on her 10 acres.
Mother nature has caved the roof in and blanketed the neglected studio with vines, trees and mud-daubbers.
This visit, we cleaned out a bit and relocated her work station. My mother in law has a new room to craft. Let’s wish her luck. She deserves to get back a lil slice of crafty heaven.
