Hubs loves water. Let it b river. Ocean. Lake. Bath tub. If he’s not working at Bert’s Market, he’s in the river.
He tried surfing; however, he is around 1% bodyfat and he would turn blue if the water was cold. Also, the last time he went surfing something brushed against his leg. With that, he was done.
Sailing has been his hobby for 2 years. Finds boats, fixes them. Borrow boats. Only once did he sink one (YouTube Folly Beach rocket scientists).
Here, he’s sewing a sail for his newest boat. A white repurposed sail w green trim.

During my crazy busy week, I shot my first paid gig. 6 hours and a lot of fun. A friend of mine got married on Folly Beach.
Sunset wedding with a laid back feel. Groom wore a button down untucked and shorts. The bride wore a teacup length dress and flip flops(taking notes for my re-wedding June 2012).
I’m extremely proud if the 492 photos I presented to them after 3 days of editing and consolidating from 1100+ photos.
My father’s camera was spectacular! So glad he wanted to upgrade and allow me to have it. I want to shoot more. a couple years ago I shot a ballerina on the beach for her portfolio.

Fresh Air Policy…. I have a strict fresh air policy. It’s good for the lungs. The soul. The mind. Even if it’s balls hot outside and a/c is on, I have a window open not open wide, just enough to make me feel less claustrophobic.

I luv the sun kissing my shoulders as I curl up like a kitten in every stream of light. Sun is good. Soak in the vitamins. In a perfect world, I wouldn’t have anything between me outdoors. Bright sunlight and lots of fresh air.

There was a big storm last week that filled the air w electricity. The air smelled so fresh and clean. The sun came out enough that the sky became bruised w blues purples and reds.

Next time you drive around Charleston- like you are going to Folly Beach for Sea and Sand Festival April 30, take a big whiff then kiss the sun.

Macaroni!… It’s strange. I’m not one to jump on a bandwagon. The more popular it is, the more I distance myself. That being said, I really really love the feathers. Kacey, of Homespun Hoops, is one of my hooping inspirations. Tonight at the SurfRider Fashion show event, she gave me these beautiful feathers. Hit her up! Best price in town! I feel like a native priestess who runs through the rainforest in search nuts and berries. Making my own pigments from wild indigo. Or I’m a duckling finally turning into a swan. A funky swan w pink and black stripes.
